Balloons
We celebrated Drew's 23rd Birthday last week. We went out
for dinner at Firesides and came back to the house for cake.

Butterflies
We have rarely seen any Monarch Butterflies this year in our travels. They say that the population is really low this year due to our cold spring. Yesterday I had the pleasure of spending about 1/2 an hour with this Monarch as she collected nectar from a flowering bush in our backyard. It was amazing to be that close and watch her for such a long period of time. I wish her good luck on her journey south.

This morning Mr Downy Woodpecker came for sunflower seeds
This is the first time I have seen him on this feeder
