Inverhuron, Oct. 2-4 2015

Another adventure to Inverhuron and a great visit with Rod again. We decided to enjoy the new campground again and we had another wonderful site that was away from the waters edge this time. We were tucked back in amongst the trees so there was no wind and it was quite private.
Friday we spent a relaxing evening by the campfire after enjoying a wonderful dinner. It's so good for the soul to be mesmerized by the flickers of a fire and to just think of nothing else.
Saturday we picked up Rod and headed into Tiverton to watch the parade. It was very windy and cool so we sat in the car on the main street to watch all the activity go by. When the parade ended we headed to the bakery in Southampton to get a few goodies. I was shocked to find Sue Hallman standing in front of me in line. We had a nice chat and Duncan and Jim chatted outside for a while. What are the chances of us meeting up there? Now we were off the the veggie market to get a few things before going for a scenic drive up to Sauble Falls. We spent time by the falls and were surprised at how low the river was. On our way back to camp we took a few back roads and picked up some firewood for our evening by the fire. We had made a roast beef dinner in the crock pot so we enjoyed that when we arrived back at camp. Unfortunately we had a bit of rain in the evening so we had to enjoy the fire from under the awning. Not quite as much fun and it was a little chilly but none the less it was a great time. Duncan drove Rod back to the cottage in Inverhuron just after 10:00 and we headed to bed after a busy day.
Sunday morning I went for a walk around Holmes Campground and found a wee cabin in the woods. We had never seen it before in all of our trips up there. It was a cool morning and the lake was almost like a sheet of glass. The day was overcast so it was not the best for photo taking. We enjoyed the rest of our time at the site before heading to the beach parking area to do some hiking before heading back home.
